Xerox Supplier Connection and Belonging Program
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the mission of the Xerox Supplier Connection and Belonging Program?
Xerox aims to proactively identify, build relationships with, and purchase goods and services from certified small and varied businesses that help us achieve our corporate objectives. We believe that having a wide range of suppliers is a major competitive advantage and a powerful business tool.
Is certification required to do business with Xerox?
Yes, suppliers must complete the certification process with a reputable third-party certification organization to do business with Xerox.
Which third-party organization certifications do you accept?
We accept certifications from nationally recognized organizations such as the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), government entities like the Small Business Administration (SBA), and other acceptable national, state, and local groups.
I am already certified by a state. Why do I need certification from other organizations?
State certifications are primarily for conducting business with government entities. Certifications from NMSDC, WBENC, and other third-party organizations are mainly for the private sector. However, some state agencies accept certifications from local affiliates associated with NMSDC and WBENC.
How do I register with Xerox as a potential supplier?
To register, visit our Global Procurement Website.
Does registering guarantee that I will obtain contracts with Xerox?
No, registration does not guarantee contracts. However, it ensures that small suppliers have an equal opportunity to be included in our strategic sourcing and procurement process. Suppliers must demonstrate the ability to add value and provide high-quality, competitively priced, and reliable goods and services.
What criteria does Xerox use to evaluate suppliers?
Suppliers are evaluated based on their ability to provide high-quality products and services, competitive pricing, reliability, and their alignment with Xerox's corporate objectives. We also consider factors such as innovation, sustainability practices, and overall business performance.
How long does the registration process take?
The registration process takes approximately 30 business days after submission.
What happens to the registration information after it has been processed?
A supplier’s information will be available for buyers’ review from the date of submission. Inclusion in the database does not guarantee contact for business opportunities; suppliers will be contacted based on business needs.
